Exactly!!! The earlier we move it forward the more insignificant christmas day actually feels!!! You went through it with your wedding Ami. 8 months of planning and one actual wedding day, which seems to go by impossibly fast as it is only one of two hundred and fourty. I think the terminology is "Anticlimax." No matter how incredible your xmas day (or wedding day hehehehe) is, it seems like nothing more than the blink of an eye.

I'm not sure whether it's all happening earlier or I'm getting older and noticing it more; the years seem to go quicker these days. Being young, who noticed until it was Xmas Day anyhow....
I own a hamper business; we have to order our Christmas stock in May; it is being delivered over the next few weeks. So I'm going to blame the suppliers on this, as retailers the stock gets ordered so early, gets delivered and as retailers I guess put it on the shelves to move it as quickly as possible.

Completely agree with you there Bella! I also recon that by bringing Xmas forward so much - well before anyone's even vaguely thinking about it - puts a dampener when the silly season really comes around. I love Christmas but retailers getting prepped in September is a bad anti-climax, like it's not so new and exciting when it really does come around. Can you imagine having your happy birthday signs and decorations up about the house a month before the big day?
