I'm a big believer that if you're eating the right foods (mostly), exercising (even a little - like walking every day) and drinking water then whatever your body shape is, is how it's supposed to be. If you're healthy, you're ok.

I grew up "skinny" (a term I'm not fond of). I had lots of issues with it. I hated it. I'd hide my thin arms with big baggy jumpers (even in the middle of summer) and I was in my late teens before I started to feel comfy with my size.

It's a post I intend to do some time, because it's quite complex, but the bottom line is that I came to accept my weight eventually (although still have things I worry about - whether my arms look too thin in some tops etc), and now that I've had 3 kids and I carry extra weight, mostly around my tummy and hips, I've had to adjust to that as well. I couldn't honestly say that I like how I am now (I really do need to exercise, but just don't get to it because I'm so busy), but I'd never want to be "skinny" like I was when I was a teenager. No way.

Great post Ami. x
