The year that was…

2013 can only be described as a roller coaster. Some times it couldn’t go fast enough. Some times I just wanted it to slow down. Some times I wanted to get off and never get back on. And some times were fun and happy.

We sold our beautiful home and moved to the burbs. A move that was a big decision but definitely the right one for our family.

My Nanna passed away the week we packed up our house. At such a crazy busy time I don’t think I stopped to comprehend that I’d lost another grandparent.

Ben decided that at 8 months old sleeping was now optional and after 3 months of just surviving on about 3 hours sleep a night I wanted to crawl in a deep dark hole and never get out. We’re slowly getting on track and I hope 2014 for us is the year of sleep!

My baby girl turned 3, my baby boy turned 1 and I turned 30.

I have no idea where the time has gone as the kids keep growing and amazing us everyday. I found myself wishing Ben’s life away to a time where he’d sleep only to also wish for time to stop so I can enjoy the littleness of them now.

I don’t do resolutions, just plans. So hopefully 2014 will bring us our house renovation, sleep and good times.

Happy New Year!
