Of course like most you I wouldn’t be able to find enough fingers and toes to count how many times I have muttered, moaned, whinged, yelled those words!
So when I said them to myself on Monday morning, I sat down on the bed, stared into the wardrobe and asked myself, ‘What did I wear every day to work last week?’ And you know, I honestly could barley remember. I had managed to dress myself every day last week, but not that morning. Nothing in my wardrobe was right. Everything had to be ironed. Why? Why couldn’t I find ANYTHING to wear?!
So that was Monday morning. Tuesday morning was no more successful with jeans and a top thrown on. Wednesday morning I got changed 3 times because I just wasn’t happy. I still wasn’t happy at 3pm with what I was wearing. Why? I don’t know. Why don’t I know? Because I’m a girl, and sometimes that’s just what we do.
Thursday. So today after getting up early to walk the puppy I had some extra time on my hands. I took the time to straighten my hair – always makes me feel better when I do. So off to a relatively good start. Go to the wardrobe and instantly pull out something to wear and begin to head for the door. But no, for some reason I then decided my outfit wasn’t right. It was a little chillier than I thought and my shoes didn’t match my top. So I changed my shoes and put a jacket on. Nup, still not good enough, jacket didn’t go match.
So, I decided to do something that I haven’t done for a very long time. I IRONED something to wear! And then I had an epiphany! If I just took an extra 5 minutes to iron something I’m more than doubling my clothing options of a morning! Yes I am very lazy with ironing, I hate it, but yet don’t think far enough forward when I’m purchasing something if I’ll need to iron it or not! I wonder what Friday will bring!
*Sigh* Friday, lovely Friday! Well I kind of cheated today on the wardrobe front, because last night I bought a new jumper, and of course like any girl will tell you, as soon as you buy something you HAVE to wear it straight away! So new jumper and black pants (which I had to iron) and I was out the door. Bliss!
Saturday and Sunday! Finally the weekend and the easiest days to get dressed – when you have nothing special on! Cargo pants or jeans, thongs and a good old Cotton On singlet or long sleeve top and I’m dressed and out the door!
Now here we are back at square one on a Monday morning! No thinking today, just threw on some pants and a long sleeve top. I wonder what the rest of the week will bring!
So, what did you wear all week?!
