heather_millsJust when you think that this woman can’t get any more deranged she starts shooting her mouth off again. The latest crazy Heather Mills installment goes something like this.

From www.smh.com.au:

Heather Mills thinks anyone who has written lies about her should get cancer.

The former glamour model – ex-wife of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney – believes in karma and is convinced people who have given her a hard time in the past will get their comeuppance by getting a life-threatening disease.

She said in an interview with Britain’s Food Monthly magazine: “The truth always outs in the end… no one gets away with those things. Certain journalists have written horrible things, and then they’ve got cancer, or they’ve had a tumour, or they’ve died. And it’s terrible for them, but they’ve done really evil things. I truly believe things come back around.”

The mother-of-one also hit out at claims she copied the late Princess Diana in campaigning against the use of landmines in war and insists she was fighting the cause long before Diana received worldwide attention.

She said: “Princess Diana helped for eight months, and because she was such a shining light and went to one minefield, suddenly everyone was into landmines, but then only because she died did we get the extra 100 people to sign.

“Which was terrible, but that was one of her huge legacies in life, plus many other things. But then everyone used to say, ‘Oh, Heather’s copying Diana!’ And everyone in the landmine industry just laughed, because they said, ‘Well, Heather’s been doing this for six years…’ “

I’m sorry, well actually no I’m not sorry, this woman is a nutbag! If anyone should be worried about karma it’s the crazy lady herself, not the journo’s! And so what if Princess Diana only ‘helped out’ for 8 months and Heather has been campaigning for 6 six years. My God, this woman should just be grateful that Princess Diana shone the spotlight on the cause in the first place.

Hmmm I wonder now if I need to worry about Heather Mills karma!!

What do you think? Crazy lady or misunderstood?

amis-dinner-003Last night I got an insight into what it would be like to be a contestant on MasterChef. Maybe just without the cameras, the fancy ingredients and cooking to win $100,000, but damn it there was pressure! So what did I do? I cooked dinner, a proper dinner for THE FIRST TIME EVER!

Ok, so maybe it wasn’t exactly like being on MasterChef but this was a big step for me!

You think cooking dinner isn’t a big deal right? WRONG! Did I mentioned it was THE FIRST TIME EVER! Yes I’ve cooked before, well more like just put things in the oven and the microwave or baked cupcakes and cookies but last night was different, it was a REAL dinner!

So here’s my MasterChef spiel on ‘my dish’! Spinach, ricotta and fetta cannelloni topped with tomatoes and mozzarella with a side garden salad with balsamic vinegar.

And guess what?! It was delicious! If I do say so myself. So now my future children can enjoy cannelloni as well as cookies and cupcakes!

Oh and I even cleaned up too! Number 1 future wife of 2009. I think so!

brideIt’s been a while since I ranting on about planning a wedding so I’ve decided to share some Wedding Words of Wisdom with you!

It’s now only 65 days until I say goodbye to Ami Holder and hello to Mrs Ami Streeter and I’m guessing that time is about to start flying! All in all things are pretty much organised (touch wood), but what the last 7 or so months has taught me, is that no matter how organised you think you are or how simple you think your wedding is, you will still get flustered and have the odd Bridezilla moment!

It is so hard not to get emotional when planning your wedding, it is without a doubt “one of the biggest days of your life”. But I think and hope what I’ve mostly tried to do is treat the planning of the wedding in quite a business like manner. Naturally I’m quite organised. I like my organised folders full of paper work and beautifully coloured spreadsheets so that side of the business like organisation was a piece of cake. Not trying to get too emotional during meetings on the other hand was a little harder.

My advice is to get all the negative thoughts and emotional outbursts out of the way prior to any catch ups with your suppliers, event venue etc, that way you can go in with clear head, a business head! Use your future husband to get it all out, isn’t that what he’s there for!

Get everything in writing, ask questions if you’re not sure and speak up if you’re not happy. Don’t worry about sounding like you’re asking for too much, just ask the question, it can’t hurt. And one thing I’ve had to keep reminding myself, at the end of the day, it is only ONE day, albeit a very important one!

And take this little story with you, our wedding reception venue said to me, we won’t be doing anymore weddings after yours!! Hmmmm was it something I said!!
